Position Accountabilities

  • Assures the creation of clear brand marketing objectives and strategy statements supporting the brand’s mission
  • Assures the creative and strategic development of fully integrated promotional marketing campaigns including concept design print advertising interactive (web/video) sales promotion marketing point of sale visual merchandise or any other related project
  • Assures that the relevant appropriate level of style and fashion is infused in all creative work consistent with brand position and target audience.
  • Assures effective communication of brand’s message strategy to the target audience resulting in achieved goals.
  • Assures utilization of skill set to elevate brand objectives and mission

Position Essential Functions

  • Concepts designs develops and coordinates production of imagery/illustration print advertising sales promotions interactive (web/social/video) point of sale in-store signage and visual merchandise.
  • Works closely with Creative Manager to evaluate all major projects before they move to final production to ensure the highest level of creative.
  • Ensures adherence to project timelines including: full cycle of the creative process timely delivery of presentations and final production materials to printer or other end user.
  • Researches brand competitive environment.
  • Researches and stays current on consumer style fashion and trends and uses this information to effectively communicate with target customer.
  • Creates work that is original impactful and relevant to the over-all brand strategy –continually raises the bar.

Position Specifications

Educational Preference:

BA Degree in Commercial Art or any other related Art Degree.
1-3years experience at an Advertising Agency preferred.

Job Experience:

  • Strong design sensibilities and ability to translate them into both concepts and final art
  • Strong problem solving ability: must be able to problem solve by identifying issues and finding creative alternative solutions.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Good communications skills: must be able to communicate thoughts and creative concepts to clients and management and be a strong advocate of the best solutions.
  • Knowledge of shoe/apparel industry and a sense of fashion a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of the creative process.
  • A diverse brand-oriented portfolio of work.

Computer Experience:

  • Required: Fluency in MAC operating system and Adobe Creative Suite 4 or above (InDesign Photoshop Illustrator).
  • Ability to work with video or web authoring software a strong plus particularly Flash or Final Cut Pro.
  • Artwork file preparation for print production
