Creative, Assistant Production Center Manager- Fleishman Hillard
Responsible for timely and accurate fulfillment of Production Center job requests for printing services, mail or shipping, equipment, and achieving excellence in client service and satisfaction for internal staff.
This position will assist in any capacity to provide high levels of service and ensure proper handling of larger items and sensitive time issues. Must demonstrate flexibility, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop expert knowledge of digital Production Center print equipment to provide guidance to Creative staff regarding color, layout, paper stock and finishing options
- Act as the liaison with FH Creative Studio designers, art directors and creative directors by advising on color correction, print layout and equipment issues, and setting appropriate expectations regarding the timely and accurate completion of jobs
- Apply sound judgment in identifying jobs that can be produced in house versus those that need to be outsourced to a third-party printer for cost, capacity or capability reasons. Develop vendor relationships for outsourced specialty work and coordinate outsourced print jobs with vendor and with Creative staff to ensure timely and accurate completion according to specifications
- Maintain extreme confidentiality of sensitive FH and client information
- Develop full understanding of WebPrint system for job submission, tracking and billing
- For print jobs not submitted through WebPrint due to native file format, ensure the proper capturing of project numbers and related information
- Conduct business in a manner that recognizes a sense of urgency and maintains constant communication with internal FH client regarding issues and issue resolution
- Concentrate on delivering operational excellence every day
- Keep Production Center Manager informed of any capacity or other issues that may impede ability to deliver a high-quality product within the established deadline
- Other relevant job duties as required or identified
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
- Prior extensive and hands-on experience in creative print production in a digital environment and a working knowledge of graphic design concepts
- Ability to think and respond quickly in problem-solving situations
- High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred
- Working knowledge of Mac desktop computers and Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign and Illustrator)
- Ability to understand and convey business issues and complex concepts
