Director of Marketing- Columbia College
Columbia College seeks a Director of Marketing Intelligence. Marketing is a new, centralized unit of the college of which marketing strategy, marketing intelligence and business development are the foundational components. Columbia College is seeking a dynamic, progressive, forward thinking and energetic professional to oversee and grow internal marketing metrics, external marketing intelligence and digital marketing initiatives. The Director of Marketing Intelligence (DMI) reports to the Executive Director of Marketing (EDM) and is responsible for all marketing intelligence data and reports to the EDM. This is a senior position that leads a staff of four (4) performing data-gathering, marketing analysis, marketing research, predictive modeling and digital marketing execution and analysis. The DMI is responsible for developing evidence-based methodologies, creating inquiries and strategies that expose opportunities for successful media placement and developing solutions for issues arising from changes in the marketplace. The DMI will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools including demographic profiling software and visualization software. The DMI is expected to take direction from and respond to goals set by the EDM that provide information to the EDM to coordinate marketing decisions that assist to fulfill the college’s mission to build a strong business model for perpetuity of a quality opportunity for future students. The position is charged with building a model marketing intelligence unit that focuses on data-driven research and analysis to assist in long-range planning for marketing departmental growth and development. Some overnight and out-of-state travel may be required.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Business or related field; a minimum of seven (7) years experience in high-level management; and an aptitude for exploring data and identifying criteria for marketing decisions.
Preferred qualifications include: Experience working in higher education; at least 8-10 years of professional marketing analysis experience; sound knowledge of financial management; Business Development background; and broad knowledge of Digital Marketing.
