Title: Group Marketing Manager

Reports to: Marketing Director

The Group Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing programs that build awareness of and support the sale of electronic resources to healthcare institutions and individual health practitioners. The Group Marketing Manager will have specific responsibility for one of three market segments as defined by Elsevier and will market our electronic product suite, including ClinicalKey, to the assigned segment. The Group Marketing Manager will contribute to the planning and execution of a new product launch in that segment.

Candidates should have at least 7 years of integrated marketing experience in B2B and B2C, including direct marketing (both online and offline), interactive, social, print, advertising, web, public relations and tradeshows.

Priority will be given to candidates with prior experience in the healthcare publishing or healthcare information technology industries and with an understanding of web analytics, marketing campaign automation, and customer relationship management systems.

Responsibilities:

Strategic marketing plan development focused on customer acquisition and retention, including identification of key issues, objectives, strategy, and tactical execution

Tactical execution of marketing plan focused on achieving lead generation and sales targets

Measurement of program effectiveness

Planning and execution of exhibits at industry events

Product launch planning that includes department-wide and cross-department coordination

Continual knowledge development of user and buyer personas as well as buying process

Development and deployment of sales collateral, tools, demos and presentations that position products as meeting the needs of user personas and buyer personas within the segment

Management of creative process that develops marketing assets, including electronic and print assets

Management of web-development that supports in-bound marketing and awareness building

Development and execution of a social media strategy and utilization of new media resources

Training and support of sales channels, including close coordination with institutional sales team

Delivery of marketing activity within agreed budget

Relationships and Roles:

Constant interaction with marketing director, product marketing, product development, customer engagement, and sales personnel

Interaction with senior executive leaders within the company

Interaction with customers and prospective customers a necessity

Qualifications

Job Specifications:

At least 7 years of integrated marketing experience

BA or BS in marketing management or business administration

Experience with customer relationship management system

Experience working with creative agencies

Willingness to travel as required
