Social Media Specialist- Brown Shoe

 

Position Accountabilities

  • Creates and manages relevant online consumer communities that engage the consumer and drive conversion and loyalty for assigned brand(s)
  • Partners with assigned brand(s) to constantly be up-to-date with stories for each respective online community
  • Shares learnings from consumers with appropriate internal partners: marketing, product development, etc.
  • Determines what online media outlets are utilized for the brand based on understanding of consumer and on the advancements in the channel

Profile Accountabilities Position Essential Functions

  • Become the voice for Brown Shoe and each brand in the social media space, engaging in dialogue and answering questions as needed
  • Listen to and monitor all social media outlets: pages, sites, blogs, etc. on a daily basis and post/respond as needed; identify brand insights and customer service issues. Compile information and report finding to key brand stake holders
  • Contribute to and regularly update external social sites
  • Identify emerging social media trends
  • Identify and engage customer advocates who are passionate about the brand
  • Create content for feeds, tweet, etc
  • Identify, develop and execute/host in store, on-line, community and grassroots events for the brands
  • Identify emerging social mediums to test and incorporate in the brand ‘s social media strategy
  • Establish social media tools for the brand (i.e., facebook, twitter, blogs, mobile applications)
  • Collaborate with brand stakeholder to develop a content calendar leveraging key events, news and activities
  • Create and/or host brand videos on brand and partner websites
  • Find, create and implement on line and community grassroots events for the brands
  • Track the results of social media programs using measurement tools to monitor metrics such as site traffic, number of brand conversations, quality of conversation, engagement (time on site)

Position Specifications
Educational Preference:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Job Experience:

  • Strong personal and professional experience in emerging media content and community engagement
  • 3+ years experience in marketing or consumer-facing role

Computer Experience:

  • “Digital native”
  • Content management experience preferred
