The Web Designer will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team of Architects, Product Specialists, and Developers to help assess product requirements, create UI models, generate user task and interaction flows, document screen designs, and define user-interface interaction details.

Role and Responsibilities:
•    Designing, prototyping and driving the implementation of screens for portals or rich client interfaces
•    Develop prototypes of designs, refining and changing them as needed, based on formal and informal usability tests
•    Establish a design pattern library to ensure consistency across the product
•    Participate in the full lifecycle of product development, working with developers, testers, and product management
•    Work closely with UX designers and marketing teams to understand the target-audience and market-place for new features
Experience – Qualifications – and Education:
•    3 to 5 years of relevant Web/GUI design, Web Applications design and UI experience.
•    Proficiency with Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, PowerPoint or similar tools.
•    Experience with Web 2.0 technologies:  Silverlight, WPF, HTML, and Ajax/JavaScript.
•    Intimate knowledge of A-Grade browsers, W3C DOM methods and properties, cross-browser development techniques, and browser degradation strategies.
•    Ability to create functional prototypes of web-based applications.
•    Experience in designing, developing or managing user interface development standards for web applications.
•    Excellent fundamental graphic design and web design skills including presentation, layout, composition, color, and readability.
•    Knowledge of usability testing methods a plus.
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
