The NPO Logo Throw Down
Well, “Throw Down” seems angry. What AdSaint, and the St. Louis Egotist, want is to help a “logo-less” Saint Louis Non-Profit Organization. So the “Throw Down” is a united call to action to all you Saint Louis designers. We want you to design an original logo for a Saint Louis non-profit organization. What organization you might ask? Well, we’d like your input. This NPO must offer an important service to the Saint Louis community; some examples are rebuilding neighborhood city gardens, animal rescue and homeless advocacy (there are plenty of organizations to chose from, we would love to hear some recommendations). Again, all we ask is that the NPO benefit the progress of a greater Saint Louis community (Oh yeah, the NPO shouldn’t already have a logo).
So before anyone gets started on designs, AdSaint wants to hear your ideas on some Saint Louis NPOs that could benefit from this contest. Please hit us up on Twitter (@AdSaintSTL) or leave comments down below. Once the NPO has been chosen, designers can submit logo designs to Rob Hutti at rob@robhutti.com. The winning design will get lunch on AdSaint and a featured creative profile on the St. Louis Egotist (side note: If you are of legal drinking age, this writer might even buy you beer, I just love the STL community).
So, with that being said…Game on!

Hi Nick, great idea. When I was employed at a local direct marketing agency, every year we had a "Create-A-Thon" where for 24 hours straight we would write, design and generally provide lots of free creative -- and sometimes free printing services--to local non-profits. My best guess is that we helped over two dozen local non-profits with brochures, logos and applications. If you want to know how we found these non-profits, let me know. Carry on!!
